| bubs99 | Apr 18, 9:27am | | Can somebody tell me if it is possible for a longterm epileptic (I'm now 24 and was diagnosed when I was 9) can gradually become a little bit "slow", as in weaker memory, slurred words and worse grammar, vocabulary etc. Within the past 3 years, I find it hard to make sentences during conversation and I often slur my words or cant work out definitions of words and math like I used to. It is only since 2004 that I started having daytime seizures and not just night time in my sleep. I usually feel strange and feel an aura and blackout for a few seconds or minutes then awake with confusion and slurred speech. But everyday now i am finding it frustrating and my close friends and family think I'm stupid and clumsy. I am taking epilim, tegretol retard and lamictal to control my fits. If anybody knows anything, I'd very much appreciate it. |
